Bicycle Adventures Cactus Classic Cycle Tour

Just finished up a 6 day tour in the desert - Tucson to Tubac to Bisbee to Tucson - took in the Desert Museum, Saguaro National Park, Titan Museum, Tumacacori, San Xavier del bac Mission, Bisbee, Kartchner Caverns and back to Loews Ventana Canyon Resort and Tucson.

Back to the Mainland

I left Hawai'i on the same day that the volcano started spewing again and the tsunami effects were felt...ended up in San Diego during the tsunami hitting the US Mainland and the water level went up just about 1 foot....so we were just advised to stay off the beaches for a couple of hours.  Here's a picture of one of the lovely Carlsbad beaches.  I love the north county of San Diego!

Hawai'i to start off the New Year

The Big Island of Hawai'i has everything and the Bicycle Adventures bike trips (with a couple of hike 1/2 days in there) really highlights the island....from the moist Waipio Valley to Hilo to the Puna district where Papayas thrive, then on to Volcano to experience the Kilauea volcano activity --- this is the world's most active volcano, to coffee country, Kailua-Kona and the Ironman route to the sunny Waikaloa Resort area and finally Hawi and old-time Hawai'i.  Here's some pictures of the beautiful Kohala mountains area:
