Bicycle Adventures Banff to Jasper Fall Trip
Cycling from Banff to Jasper - the last trip of the season...we lucked out with the weather too...just a bit of rain and a few snow flurries up above Lake Louise at the Plain of 6 Glaciers Teahouse.
Highlights:
Day 1 - Banff Cycling - the Mohawks emerge, Lake Minnewanka, Big Horn Sheep, Views of Banff, happy hour outside the Banff Park Inn, Maple Leaf restaurant for Dinner.
Day 2 - Bow Valley Parkway - Johnston Canyon hiking, 2 Grizzlies supposed spotted, White tail deer playing, Morainne Lake Lodge and dinner at the Lodge - yum, climbing up to Morainne Lake.
Day 3 - Hiking to the tea house at the Plain of 6 Glaciers above Lake Louise, Lake Louise views, tea, naps at the Morainne Lake Lodge, dinner at The Post Hotel.
Day 4 - Biking the Icefields parkway in the sunshine, lunch at Peyto Lake, Mistaya Canyon, big party at the river crossings.
Day 5 - Sunshine, climbing up Sunwapta Pass, Athabasca Glacier, 60 amazing cycling miles, Sunwapta Falls Resort, Sunwapta Falls, LCR, appetizers and dinner at Sunwapta.
Day 6 - Cycling in a light drizzle, Athabasca Falls, road to Jasper, Jasper town, getting to Calgary!
